may in april

i know, late time to create another post. sorry guys. so, first i'd like to mention, that i'm reading very interesting book. "what women don't dream about" by olga sommer. stories about relationships, so real, that i'm feeling dizzy. if i ever turn into such a monster making a woman's life so unbearable, i would rather stay single forever or die young.

men

but i'd still give it a try first. i do miss a girlfriend. especially while traveling. the next week i'm going to take off something like five times or so, again, but it is not funny any more without holding somebody's hand. but also in normal life. to talk. to listen. to cuddle. come on, it's may, very soon!

there i go green

the country is big, cool, bold, strange, different, green. did i mention it is green?

think!

the town is cool. although, it feels strange to see the afroamerican majority always doing worse jobs.

v sooo high

even the party we went on friday night was 99% white. um, it was a fund raising party. people pay $30 entrance and then they eat yummy mexican and choose from many different brands of, usually locally brewed, beers. actually, one od them was pilsner urquell, and i have to say, although i'm surely good in beers, it was the most boring one. it just tasted only like... a beer.

park after party

we went back midnight deciding not to continue in partying to be fresh for saturday's renaissance day in south atlanta. i even did that thing with big hammer hitting it hard to ring a bell (4 times out of 5! movie available soon) and saw really good and funny performances.

zucchini vinci

sunday we went, although i wasn't too keen in it, into cable news network headquarters. lately i had soem warm moments there, when i went to aotearoa for a while (on a map which was across the mall's floor) and i had salmon sushi there. yumm!

cnn tour aotearoa

then, in the afternoon, we went for a tour to stone mountain. stone mountain is one big stone, as big as mountain. btw, anybody remembers lubica from jlsmnde?

going up stone mountain

now, another almost week of work.

shoes

on domestic usa flights one has to take a laptop from a bag and put it through x-rays separately. not only a laptop: shoes, too.

analog

i did some polaroid pictures while easter holiday. the first one was at ester's sister place of her cute li'l girl. the second and third ones with friends in brno, within the time my credit card was left in a stupid cash machine which doesn't force people to take the card first then money.
polaroid 3 polaroid 2
the fourth was my sister with her family. and then i borrowed it to a new friend and forgot to pick it up :) but it is perfect, as she has a li'l girl, too so they will have another pictures.

love references

today while swimming i remembered the idea i developed sometimes after coming back from africa. although i don't want to compare working and love relationships, there is one feature which connects and divides both. as we go through jobs, we build our cv and we keep references to our past employers. so, why don't we do it with our love affairs, too?

imagine one each would have a notebook with such references. on the end of a relationships, we would swap our notebooks and write there a record. basically, to answer questions like:
  • why did i get involved with you?
  • what were the expectations?
  • were they filled up?
  • likes, dislikes?
  • what has developed, what has not?
  • what were (from my point of view) reasons for breaking off?
then, at some specific point in new relationship (not too early but not too late either), we would swap our books and read them. we could then have a talk and make conclusions: there's something we can work on and improve, something to be aware of, or, well, there's nothing to do with this one.

of course this idea works only if relationship doesn't end in hate and with no communication at all. i thought i could handle it because i would rather be with people in good friendship than in bad relationship.

you may think i'm talking nonsense but since i'll turn 33 the next january and don't want to make another wrong decisions i might start working on my portfolio tomorrow.

off topic: i got some petrol today, actually full tank plus a reserve, and the bill was for 444.44 crowns. weird.

silent but fast

i had another fun today with my kilometer counter. just when i left work, i saw that when the (already advanced) big meter came to 159, it continued with second (from right) digit instead to 169 and then 179!

so i thought okay, it does do like this every hundred kilometers, as last time it also advanced 20 kms, and didn't really pay my attention to it. but then, just before coming home, i noticed that now the third digit is turning! within a half of a minute, the counter advanced to from 199 to 599! that was fast i thought. then i just watched rounding up to 300600 and nothing special happened.

so, after 150 km my meter shows 600 km but i don't think it is regular. now i wonder how to find out how many real kilometers my car went in its lifetime. is there a way? to look at its teeth?

actually i went home earlier and it feels like summer today although trees are still not blossoming or anything. i had an appointment with a doctor because of sour throat. bacteria test was negative so the conclusion was it's a virus. well i think it's a psychosomatic. i can't really speak well, and it could have two reasons. one is that dark silence after ester has left and i had no chance to talk with her about it. the second one is that i needed to say to my boss that i have another plans for close future, which i did today, so at least half of my neck should be much better soon.

there's very much rollerblading weather now! i'll go out later today with lisa from sweden again. she's doing well for a beginner (she says she is).

dutch cocoa

a friend of mine made this photo by his cellphone camera (normally he uses that camera with black sack over his head) on my short visit in prague. i hold a polaroid picture of my family holding a picture of my friends holding another picture of the friends...

milestoned

i watched my car's kilometer counter flipping to 300000 today. it looks a lot to me, well the car is fifteen years old, but i was told an eighty years old lady was selling it. was she really driving those 63 cm every second her whole retirement with hardly any sleep? so when the line of zeros appeared, i pressed a short distance meter to zero it, too. i knew that this one works quite well as i used it to find out i do approx. 650 kms on each petrol tank (since danish roads are flat and stright allowing almost always constant speed 90 kmph at fifth gear).

it made me laugh when i came back from work and saw the difference: the small one showed realistic thirty something, but the big one 300060. i hope it has been like this since the car was new!

well it was a small patch on finding out that i have to pay annual insurance bill which costs almost twice the price of the car. ugh.

city

a few insights from my thursday's visit of the capitol.
  • danish people don't cross a road when the traffic light is red and no car is coming even when it looks any car went this way in the last few years,
  • danish girls are beautiful because they all bike. although i have no opinion about guys' handsomness, i noticed only like two or one guy on a bike, too and a half of it was a mailman. but the rest was that lot of smily blond women riding their bikes with their hair waving in the wind.
  • when you go to american embassy, don't take your laptop with you, otherwise you will be sent to a closest trainstation (østerport is fortunately not far away and i got some extra time) to leave it in a depository box. when you do that, leave there at the same time your cellphone, they would take it anyway. security guys do their tough job, on contrary women at the office are friendly and smily.

easter

i haven't been posting for a couple of days. i was a bit busy before easter, some work to finish and adjusting to the life with new laptop, too. and then i went to the another driving trip. i left in the morning on the big friday. there were some storms, fogs and jams on the roads and i stopped in jo's house to have a nice lunch so i was late two hours to pick up ester in frankfurt hahn. i have to say it's the best hidden airport i've ever seen, in mountains with zig zag roads around and the first little traffic sign only a few kms ahead. it was then impossible to cross the whole germany in one day and night so we stayed in a little hotel with nice breakfast.

arrival to biel/bienne was good, it was a warm welcome in a nice house and two little girls of great fun. i walked a dog, too and i liked the multinational character of the town, being a beginner of portugues and danish, i could figure out something from french/german posters and signs. it is also hilly and we went for a nice walk on terraces and views over the town.

bienne

the house was only across a road from a gallery with an exhibition of my favourite czech photographer i always wanted to see.

holomiiczek

unfortunately, on easter monday ester broke up with me. i decided then to drive to my parent's house. i did it in twelve hours, stopping only to take petrol and to pay for motorways. at ten in the evening, i finished the twelve hundreth km.

the rest of the holiday was a bit rushy, i spent some time with my family, did some paperworks, i went to brno two times to see friends.

tea house

of course i visited good friends in prague, too. we went for a nice bike trip.

bike trip

on sunday, i did the last thousand km back to denmark. it was smooth thanks to excellent weather. so i'm back in this boring safe relaxed country. it felt like coming home. let's see what spring has to offer here apart from that smell of fertilizers. or is it the right time for a move? do i have enough pictures of my window yet?

zoomoon

my name is nobody

yep. let's have some fun. i allowed anonymous comments. i will switch it back only if i get too much spam here.
